Laser Gum Therapy of Seattle
There are many uses for lasers in orthodontics. Some of these have been mentioned before such as frenectomy and ginigival contouring. Another use is when the braces are removed, the tissue between the teeth may have become swollen. This can be due to impingement of the braces or poor homecare. A laser can remove these areas to promote quicker healing. It can also be used to uncover a tooth that has problems erupting. Sometimes the tissue over a permanent tooth is very strong. A qick laser treatment will remove this obstacle and allow for normal tooth developement.
